South Saskatchewan Fishing Tours
Come enjoy the realms of fishing the great South Saskatchewan River system in south eastern Alberta. Catch a large variety of fish including Goldeye, Walleye, Burbot, Pike and the rarely seen Lake Sturgeon. Take a relaxing tour of the South Saskatchewan River on a shallow, river running jet boat. Tack and equipment supplied for any weather condition. Pull up to the river’s edge and enjoy a “just right” shore lunch of the daily catch or a homemade brunch prepared over an open fire.
Located in the heart of Alberta’s great plains, Riverhills Lodge sits on a 30-acre parcel of land overlooking the South Saskatchewan and Red Deer River’s.
Over 5000 square feet of living space make the lodge perfect for crew accommodations, hunters and general lodging for up to 16 people. Lodging includes fully prepared meals.
Peter McAra your host started guiding in the area in 1992 and fell in love with both excellent hunting conditions and landscape of the region. He decided to pursue his dream and built the lodge in 2000. It was originally built solely as a hunting lodge but recent increases in industrial activity has made the lodge ideal for crews working in the area
Peter McAra is a great host for both crews and hunters alike. With home cooked meals, a large wood burning fireplace, clean rooms and five bathrooms the lodge is an ideal space to meet remote lodging needs in the area.
