Wende Wood always called Regina home—even after working in Toronto for years. But when she moved to Consort, Alberta, she found something unexpected: community, opportunity, and a place where everyone can belong.
As a community pharmacist, Wende loves getting to know the people she serves. She was pleasantly surprised by how many services Consort offers—and even more surprised to receive the second-highest number of votes in the last election! From volunteering to raising a family or retiring in comfort, Wende believes Consort truly has something for everyone.
This is part of the Return to Rural series—real stories of living, working, and thriving in Alberta’s Special Areas.
